Over the past 7 years, the Annual Odd Fellows’ Disc Golf Tournament has raised $128,818.35 to support the Vancouver Island Crisis Society and over $27,000 to support Mary’s Farm and Sanctuary. Do you want to be part of growing that number? We need your help with this tradition.

Support VI Crisis and make a positive impact in our community

This year, we will be having our 8th Annual Odd Fellows’ Disc Golf Tournament, which will be held on June 8th to raise funds once again, primarily supporting the Vancouver Island Crisis Line (www.vicrisis.ca). The Vancouver Island Crisis Society is committed to providing accessible voice, text, and chat crisis intervention and suicide prevention services, including postvention programs. They endeavor to provide emotional support during times of crisis, information about community resources, education intended to promote community wellness, and reduce the incidence of suicide. Over the last year, they handled over 31,645 calls (13,561 of callers were asking about suicide) and 918 chats/texts through their Vancouver Island Crisis Line, 1800SUICIDE, 310 Mental Health Support Line, and Talk Suicide Canada. They completed 125 active rescues to 911 interventions and 1,668 interventions to Mental Health Crisis Services. The chat and text services continue to be a preferred way for Vancouver Island youth to reach out, and the need is expanding. Funds raised last year and from this year will also go to support the Crisis Line and Community and School education programs, which are making a real difference.

Reach hundreds of community leaders and business people

It’s an amazing opportunity to give back to those in need, show your organization as a community leader, and promote your business to our participants, which last year included more than 100 influential community leaders and business people. Join the rest of our local sponsors who have committed to making a better Victoria.

Odd Fellows Columbia #2

The International Order of Odd Fellows has been supporting charities for more than 150 years, and its local Victoria lodges have done just that, helping the Queen Alexandra Children’s Hospital, Our Place, Victoria Prostate Cancer Society, Saanich Peninsula Hospital Foundation, and the Boys’ and Girls’ Club, to name a few. We also donated over 28,000 lbs of fresh food to the Mustard Seed last year.

Fun Fact: John A. MacDonald, Wyatt Earp, Charlie Chaplin, and Winston Churchill were all Odd Fellows.

Thank you for considering this opportunity and supporting this event. Please feel free to select any one of the sponsorship options below, or contact our fundraising managers, Dave Pettenuzzo, Rodney Fraser, Graham Whitewell, Jefferson Capina, or Mike Boorman for more information.
